ALL HYDE-ADDISON FAMILIES ARE AUTOMATICALLY MEMBERS OF THE PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION (PTA).
The mission of the Hyde-Addison PTA is to promote the education and well-being of every student in collaboration with parents, guardians, educators, and the community. We are committed to fostering a strong and inclusive environment that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and social development. There are no dues or fees, and we welcome participation from all Hyde-Addison families. Please be on the lookout for more information on our schedule of General Meetings.
Each year, Hyde-Addison’s requested budget for the school year is typically NOT fulfilled by DCPS. For the school year 2023-2024, the school’s non-funded amount is $98,7000. Therefore, the PTA strives to supplement Hyde-Addision’s budget with our fundraising efforts. Get Involved! We intend to meet our fundraising goal and build community with a variety of exciting events and fundraisers this year. Please take a look at our tentative calendar of events planned for the year and committees to join on Konstella (more on that below) and decide how you can get involved in small ways or big ways, but please commit to participating somehow. All participation is welcome and appreciated!

The PTA utilizes Konstella, a virtual platform (online and mobile app) for Hyde-Addison families, to communicate about events and activities happening at the school. It also houses family and classroom directories and it’s a great way to connect with other parents, ask for recommendations, and volunteer for one-time activities or on an ongoing basis! app to communicate with families. Collecting Box Tops for Education is an easy way to support Hyde-Addison and they really add up! There is no more clipping, and the new collection process is easy.
